Luxury furnishings of exceptional quality preserved in state institutions have long been considered to have been gifts of the Monarchs, and particularly of Isabel II. The authors here resolve the origin, manufacture and vicissitudes of one of these groups made for the office of the Queen in the Madrid Royal Palace, but currently located in the Supreme Court.
