Abstract

An engraving (1796) by Manuel Esquivel after a painting of Saint Paul by “Rembrandt” in the collection of the Baron of Casa-Davalillo, lead to research on painting and collection. Only a photo of the canvas was found, but on this basis, the former “Rembrandt” is tentatively attributed to Lambert Jacobsz.
