Abstract

The author studies two preparatory drawings for the Carthusian monastery of Granada, until now attributed to José de Cieza. This article demonstrates, however, their clear relationship with the works of Palomino, whose sources, iconography and antecedents are found in the paintings of Escalante and Luca Giordano.
