Articles

This section publishes original and unpublished works, with the usual structure of a scientific publication, which represent an original, rigorous and significant contribution to the field of study in which this journal is included. Papers may be submitted in Spanish or English and, when received, must not be subject to evaluation by another publication or be publicly available in any other format.

Articles should be no longer than 60,000 characters with spaces, including abstracts, footnotes, bibliography, tables or graphs and captions. A maximum of 15 illustrations, tables or graphs may be attached in digital format, with sufficient quality and under the conditions indicated in the rules.

Papers will be peer-reviewed by at least two specialists, using the double-blind system, and their acceptance will be conditional on their opinion.

Shorter notes

This section is dedicated to the publication of original, rigorous and unpublished short papers on very specific topics, news or findings. The usual structure of these papers is that of a short scientific publication, whose contribution is original and novel or represents a significant and rigorous complement to other studies in the journal's field of orientation. Papers may be submitted in Spanish or English and, when received, must not be subject to evaluation by another publication and must not be publicly available in any format.

Articles should be no longer than 30,000 characters with spaces, including abstracts, footnotes, bibliography, tables or graphs and captions. A maximum of 8 illustrations, tables or graphs may be attached in digital format, with sufficient quality and under the conditions indicated in the rules.

Papers will be peer-reviewed by at least two specialists, using the double-blind system, and their acceptance will be conditional on their opinion.

Book reviews

Section dedicated to the review and commentary, in Spanish or English, of bibliographical contributions and novelties in the field of study and specialisation of the journal. These reviews will be carried out, at the discretion of the journal's editorial team and at its request, from among those books that reach the journal requesting them or from among those publications that the team considers to be singular or of special significance. They may also be freely submitted by specialists in the field, provided that, at the same time, copies of the publication to be reviewed are sent for consideration and the specific rules of this section are complied with.

These texts will have a maximum length of 9,000 characters, including spaces, the citation of the book and the authorship of the review. They will not be subject to peer review and their commissioning and acceptance will always be conditional on the opinion of the editorial team or any support commissions it may set up.

Received books

This section is dedicated to listing the books received by the journal requesting a review, which have not been prioritised for review.

It is published by the editorial team, for information purposes, in the last issue of the year of the journal and lists the publications that, to date, have been received by the journal during the year that is coming to an end.

Exhibition reviews

This section is devoted to information and critical commentary, in Spanish or English, on current exhibitions or art competitions, within the framework of the journal's study and specialisation. These chronicles will be written, at the discretion of the journal's editorial team and at its request, from among those exhibitions or competitions that it considers, within its possibilities, to be of singular importance or special significance in the journal's field of study. They may also be freely submitted by specialists in the field, provided that, at the same time, copies of their catalogue are sent for consideration and assessment and that the specific rules of this section are complied with.

These texts will have a maximum length of 9,000 characters, including spaces, the citation of the exhibition details (title, place, institution and dates) and the authorship of the chronicle. They will not be subject to peer review and their commissioning and acceptance will always be conditional on the opinion of the editorial team or any support commissions it may set up.

Obituary

This section is dedicated to highlighting and highlighting the professional careers of certain specialists, related to the journal's field of specialisation, who have recently passed away.

These texts, in Spanish or English, will be written at the discretion and request of the journal's editorial team. They may also be freely submitted by specialists in the field, and will be published provided that the editorial team considers it appropriate and that the specific rules of this section are complied with.

These texts will have a maximum length of 9,000 characters, including spaces, the citation of the deceased person with his/her years of life and the authorship of the obituary. They will also include, if possible, an image of the deceased professional to whom the obituary is dedicated. They will not be subject to peer review and their commissioning and acceptance will always be conditional on the opinion of the editorial team or any support commissions it may set up.
