Abstract

Different components concurring in the gradual gestation of public recreation spaces in Spanish society, especially at Madrid, since the first decades of the 19th century is study. This analysis is based on two kinds of work material: of a part, built works and, of other, academic projects never carried to practice, that served for the attainment of several Architect titles.
