The Cistercian monastery located in Valbuena de Duero, Valladolid, boats well-preserved wall painting remains in the lower cloister. A number of Jesus Christ passion scenes situated by the vault ornamentation, suggest the existence of an outstanding group of artists settled in Valladolid by the late XVIth century and connected to the royal entourage and the Italian fashion.
