Abstract


We study the graphics sources of the Spanish monstrances whit knot composed of two-headed eagle. We also establish the origin of its iconography in an engraving printed by Maria Eugenia Baer about the middle of the 17th century. Finally, we also try to study the spreading of the two-headed eagle in Spanish and spanish- american silversmithing
