Sobre un cuadro «pompeyista» desaparecido: La Floralia de Reyna Manescau

Antonio María Reyna Manescau nació en Coín, Málaga, en 1859 o 1862 en el seno de una familia acomodada, falleciendo en Roma en 1937. Se formó en la Escuela de Bellas Artes malagueña y en el Liceo Artístico de la misma ciudad, destacando prontamente por sus atractivas composiciones y la soltura de su pincelada. En 1882 la Diputación de Málaga le concedió una pensión para marchar a Italia, donde permaneció ya el resto de su vida, si bien sin romper la vinculación con su patria, siguiendo siempre en contacto con su tierra natal, relacionándose con los más importantes círculos artísticos españoles y participando en las Exposiciones Nacionales de Bellas Artes....
