Juan Pérez Castiel, Pedro de Ribera and Jaime Bort were famous Baroque architects. Their writings concerning the reform Cuenca Cathedral’s facade reflect the architectural culture from the Baroque period, show how they worked and demonstrates their theoretical and practical norms. The study of three texts they authored helps us to understand their own professional attitudes and, at the same time, the elements that define their style in relation to their architectural context.
