The painter Pedro de Campaña carried out most of his artistic practice in Seville during the second third of the 16th century, where he arrived from Italy, attracted by the possibilities of commissions that this city offered. A new work can now be added to his extensive catalogue: a small altarpiece composed of five panels destined for private devotion. The author’s research in the Archive of Protocols of Seville has resulted in the discovery of a relevant document, permitting the identification of the origin of three of these panels, today distributed among three different European galleries. The current location of the other two panels is unknown.
